If you have been recently bitten by the salsa bug, congratulations! You have just contracted one of the healthiest infections on planet earth. Being new to this world of dance, you are probably wondering how to get the most juice out of this newfound hobby that takes more hours of your week than you dare to admit.  Well, if you want to be a really good salsa dancer, here is your formula for success: lots of social dancing, group classes, private lessons, and salsa congresses galore.

 

A Touch of Class in Group Classes

By now you probably know our group classes are the best quantity for your money and private lessons are the best quality for your money. But, do you know how to get high quality and high quantity from your group classes? Here are a few tips to help you and your fellow classmates get the most out of a group class experience:

Be on time.

If possible, allow yourself an extra 5-7 minutes before your group class is due to start to check in for class, change your shoes and get to the ballroom by the top of the hour. Everything that happens in the first 10 minutes of class is done to ensure that the rest of the class goes smoothly for you, don’t miss it!

Participate.

Utilize the warm up dance to review the previous week’s pattern, meet someone new, and get your blood moving.
