Taylor Edwards

Taylor was born and raised in Dripping Springs, TX. Getting her start in dance at the tender age of two, her youth was filled with Jazz, Tap, and Ballet classes alongside piano, riding horses, archery and musical theater. After years of being dance captain of shows, she began teaching at the age of 16, and in 2014 joined Go Dance, adding Country, Swing, Salsa and Ballroom to her repertoire.

“Don’t ask me what my favorite dance is — I love them all!”

Taylor loves watching the progress her students make during each lesson and is happy to witness their feelings of accomplishment. Loving both social and performance dancing, Taylor adapts her style of teaching to match her students’ goals, finding the balance of fun and focus that is right for each person. She remembers what it felt like to come back into dance after taking a few years to focus on Musical Theater and understands that it can be frustrating when your body won’t learn as fast as you’d like it to! She helps her students to be patient with themselves and celebrate the incremental progress that will take them towards their goals.

Off the dance floor, Taylor finds that connecting to nature provides a nice balance with all the time spent inside dancing. She loves to spend time in the sunshine and around trees, hiking and stand-up-paddling among other outdoor pursuits.
